Who We Are

Since 2022, Midwest Chingona Fest has welcomed thousands of attendees and supported more than 200 businesses, artists, and performers across the Midwest.

 

Midwest Chingona Fest is a cultural music and arts festival celebrating women, creativity, community, and Hispanic Heritage Month. The festival was created as a space to highlight Chingonas, strong and resilient women who lead, create, overcome challenges, and continue striving to grow personally and professionally.

The word “Chingona” has not always been embraced, but we proudly reclaim it as a symbol of resilience, confidence, leadership, and cultural pride. Midwest Chingona Fest exists to celebrate the women shaping our communities today while inspiring the next generation to recognize the powerful women already in their lives.

Founded in 2022, Midwest Chingona Fest has created opportunities for more than 200 businesses, artists, performers, and creatives while welcoming thousands of attendees from across the Midwest each year.

The festival continues to grow as a vibrant cultural experience where music, art, entrepreneurship, and empowerment come together in a way that feels authentic, energetic, and community driven.

While each year brings new elements, the heart of the festival remains the same. Celebrating women, culture, creativity, and connection.

Empowering The Community

Fundraising

 Each year Las Chingonas select a nonprofit organization to support through the festival. Giving back is a core part of who we are, and we are proud to invest in the same community that continues to support and grow alongside us.

Scholarships

 With the support of generous donors and sponsors, the Las Chingonas Entertainment raises funds throughout the year for Chingona Scholarships awarded to college-bound students. These scholarships recognize young leaders and help support the next generation of powerful women in our community. The focus for 2026 will be to fundraise 2 scholarships to be awarded at the 2027 festival. 

 

Visual Culture & Entertainment

Live Art

Midwest Chingona Fest features a dedicated Live Art space where artists create new pieces in real time while guests experience the creative process up close. Artists are also featured throughout the festival, showcasing and selling their work alongside local vendors.

Music & Performers

Midwest Chingona Fest features a vibrant mix of DJs, musicians, dancers, and cultural performers, with a strong focus on showcasing female talent across multiple genres and styles.
